Cased James Purdey & Sons Cleaning Rod Set with oiler and snap caps. This is a must have item if you own the revered Purdey shotgun. New you can expect to pay around $1700 so for $1100 its a real bargain. Complete and unused. The case is hardwood construction with a black leather Purdey label (Audley House address) on the inside of the red felt lined lid. Inside are a two piece ebony and brass cleaning rod, nickel oiler and a pair of nickel snap caps, all Purdey marked, a box of Parker-Hale shotgun patches, and an unmarked set of cleaning heads (brass bristle brush, swab, and patch jag). Also in the case are two plastic patch holders and a cleaning cloth, both later additions.AS NEW Excellent overall.
