The Gewehr 43 is a 7.92×57mm Mauser caliber semi-automatic rifle developed by Germany during World War II. The design was based on that of the earlier G41(W), but incorporated an improved short-stroke piston gas system similar to that of the Soviet Tokarev SVT-40. This Gewehr 43 Sniper Rifle was made by Berlin-Lubecker Maschinenfabrik in Lubeck (coded "duv") in 1943 and features German/ Nazi proof stamps throughout. This gun features a Meopta ZF-4 sniper scope with a side mounted rail, which is also Nazi stamped. The "Crowned R" stamped in the stock indicates that this gun is a French Capture. Other features include a 22" barrel, adjustable flip-up v-notch rear sight, hooded front post sight, cleaning rod, black leather sling and (Nazi stamped)
