Condition is very good never sharpened and or used comes ith original scarbard and frog
The markings are clearly visible, with the Bayonet No 1 Mk 1 (Pattern 1907) acknowledgement mark, MA 1907 1 and 5 ’42, May 1942 date stamped at the base of the blade. The MA mark initially stood for ‘Made in Australia’ but was later defined as ‘Munitions Australia’. On the other ricasso it is stamped with the 'broad arrow' Government acceptance mark and the large 'X' blade bending mark. It also has the letters MA stamped, indicating LITHGOW ARMOURY manufacture.
Lithgow Pattern 1907 bayonets were numbered to rifles on the pommel. The pommel of this bayonet shows it was a ‘C’ series produced blade and is marked C36803. The upper hilt spine is over stamped with an R for refurbishment, an
